Live account or live session

What a “Live” Pocket Option Bot Means: Live Account vs a Running Session

“Live” can mean your Pocket Option account holds real money, or that the bot is trading right now. They are two different things, and you can have one without the other.

This page untangles the two meanings of “live”. For when to end a session see when to stop; for moving accounts see demo to real.

The two meanings of “live”

  • A live account is a Real Pocket Option account with your own money in it, as opposed to a Demo account.
  • A live session means the bot is running right now and placing trades on the tab you started it on.

You can have one without the other: a session running on a Demo account (live session, no real money), or a Real account with no session running (live account, no trades being placed by the bot). Before you assume either, check which account is active on the tab.

A session from start to stop

  1. You start it yourself, on your own Pocket Option tab, with the settings you chose.
  2. It runs in that tab. Keep the tab open and visible: a background or minimised tab can delay trade-result detection. See why the trading tab must stay open.
  3. It pauses on its own if the next stake would exceed the account balance.
  4. You stop it when you decide to. See how to stop or remove the bot safely and when to stop an automated trading session.

Demo vs Real in Avalisa

Avalisa works on both Demo and Real Pocket Option accounts. The extension places trades the same way on whichever account is active; it does not run different logic for the two. We can only speak for our own extension, not for Pocket Option’s servers. Start on Demo and move to Real only once you know exactly what your settings do — see moving from demo to a real account.

What to check before switching the active account to Real

  • Steps cap. If you use Martingale, set a finite Martingale Steps value. Limiting Steps is the real way to cap a losing streak; there is no separate stop-loss or daily-loss-limit setting. Steps N allows N+1 trades in a losing cycle, so at 2x, Steps 2 risks up to 7x your start amount and Steps 3 up to 15x. More in Martingale risk explained and the settings guide.
  • Stake. Choose a start amount small enough that the full worst-case cycle fits inside your balance.
  • A written stop rule. Write down, before the session, the condition under which you will stop it yourself. See bankroll rules for automation.

Frequently asked questions

Does “live” mean the bot is using real money?

Not necessarily. It can mean a Real account, or only that a session is running. Check which account is active on the tab.

If I close the tab, does the bot keep trading?

No. The bot runs in the tab you started it on, so keep that tab open and visible for the whole session.

Is there a built-in stop-loss that ends a losing streak?

No separate stop-loss or daily-loss-limit setting exists. Limiting Martingale Steps caps a losing streak, and the bot pauses when the next stake would exceed the balance.

Risk statement

Martingale raises the stake after every loss, and a losing streak can wipe out a balance. Binary options are high risk. Use only money you can afford to lose. Trading involves risk. Avalisa does not guarantee profits. Start on a demo account.

Try it on demo first

Install Avalisa PO Bot from the Chrome Web Store and test on a demo account before real money. The free Demo plan includes 10 Martingale trades; Basic is $69 one-time; Pro is $119 one-time or $29/month (a recurring subscription) — see pricing.
